Otaku

I need to get to reading more manga, I feel like I’m neglecting the otaku inside me. T-T

Also I need to watch more anime, So far I started watching one piece again. I kind of looking forward to watching Naruto Shippuden, Kobato, Fairy Tail, Bleach, and D.Gray-Man, or other new anime I a haven’t watched.

I need to finish kobato, I’ve only got one volume left. Also I need to finish watching the anime.

1.I’m Otaku

Manga:

Rating:3.5/5

This manga has been in my room for a while—like two-three months(I really can’t believe it took me so long to read this amazing manga.), just sitting there on my bureau, and today I finally got to read it.(I still have other manga just sitting on bureau waiting to be read.)(how do you say manga in plural? is it already in plural?)

But anyways, Magic Knight Rayearth by Clamp, three girls(Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu) from three different school, are suddenly summoned to another world, Cephiro. And once they’re there the mage Clef tells them that they have to save princess Emeraude, who has been captured by this evil wizard(I guess), Zagato, and thus there journey begins, and the prophecy of the Magic Knights is fulfilled.

The pace in this manga was amazingly fast, too fast(most short series are), characters progress real quickly, though you don’t get much of their past—just see their friendship develop and their personality. I enjoyed the art, especially the action scenes—they were beautifully drawn, I couldn’t help but think of Sailor Moon when the girl’s armor would transform, or when they would use magic^_^. I loved all three protagonist equally, didn’t really have a favorite. The only thing I didn’t enjoyed was the twist at around the end of the last chapter, I thought it was unnecessary, and a bit melodramatic. Also I kinda wish this series was much longer(will be seeing the anime since it’s longer than the manga, also there’s more characters in it.)

I highly recommend you read this series, you won’t regret it.(I think there are six volumes in this series, I can’t wait to read the next bind up when it comes out in april-_-. Also will definitely start watching the anime series, as soon as I can^_^)

So I got Cardcaptor Sakura(bind up edition, I think it has the first three volumes), which is also by Clamp, right after I finished Magic Knight Rayearth

Can’t wait to read this, I’ve been really craving to read the manga for a while now(Since I finished Tsubasa). I saw the anime series when I was like seven or eight(a really long time.), I think I never got to finish the anime or see the movies. But yeah, I can’t wait to read this, I need a memory refresher—everything is kind of a blur.

Anime:

I started reading the manga(Kobato, which is also by Clamp) a while back(I still got two more volumes to go until I’m officially done with this series.), so I decided to start watching the anime.

So the premise of the show (which is the same in the manga), Kobato is sweet, simple young girl, on a quest to heal the broken hearts, in order to get her wish granted(I guess the wish has something to do with her going back to another world.) So every time she heals someone’s heart, a wierd candy(I forgot what it’s called) appears in this glass bottle she carries, and once the bottle is full—with-these-wierd-candy, her wish will be granted.

Right now I’m in episode 7, and so far I’m liking the anime, Its staying fateful to the manga, though there just a few changes.

I’ll have a whole review on this series, after I’m done with the show ^_^ and the manga.

Video Games:

Last week I finally passed Devil May Cry 4, after putting it in a long hiatus. I had this game nearly a year, and now it’s finally over.

When I first bought this game I was skeptical at first because, in the beginning of the game, and through out half the game, you don’t play as Dante but this new character Nero. I really did not like controlling Nero, but that changed when I got use to him. So, later in the game when you get to control Dante, I found myself liking Nero more, because his controls were less complicated. With Dante control it took me a while to get use to it—eventually I did.

After passing this game, the next day I went to gamestop to go buy Bayonetta—I heard its like Devil May Cry, but sadly they didn’t have it in stock, so I bought Alan Wake for my Xbox 360, and Rogue Galaxy for my ps2(yes I still play my ps2) I also reserved Zelda Skyward Swords XD, I’m really excited to play this game. Zelda is by far my favorite adventure game—I just love rescuing Zelda, over and over again.(Which reminds me I still need to pass Majora’s Mask, Link to the past, and Hourglass.)
