44.Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Review:I finally finished the last book in The Hunger Games trilogy, Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. The last book was by far my all time favorite. It was epic, intense, unexpectedness, and very memorable and impactive. The writing was just as amazing as the first to books, though it had different tone/mood to it.I thought the ending was perfect, though not every character had a happy ending, it was like a bittersweet end. Characters do die, which was sad and unexpected. By the end of the book you do get some closure, and you finally get to see who Katniss ends up with.

Summary:Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol wants revenge … and President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe!

Rating:5/5

Favorite quote:“There are much worse games to play.”

❝What I need to survive is not Gale’s fire kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again and only Peeta can give me that.❞

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where they strung up a man they say murdered three.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where the dead man called out for his love to flee.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where I told you to run, so we’d both be free.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Wear a necklace of rope, side by side with me.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree.

43.Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Review:Wow, I just finished Catching Fire, and i’m still shock at everything that happened in this book. Suzanne Collins is an amazing writer, I was so drawn to this world, it was so vivid. I can’t believe I didn’t start reading this book after I read The Hunger Games, which was like last year.

Okay so in this book you really see how much power, and fear The Capitol/President Snow(I never hated a character so much I just wanted to strangle them to death. Snow is just plain evil.) has on all 12 district, and how people are seeing Katniss and Peeta as a sign of hope, which is leading them to doubt, and also rebel against The Capitol. I think Katniss made the biggest change as character, you really see her determination to protect her family including Gale, and Peeta, and almost at the end we really see her hopes, where there is no hunger games, Capitol, and than Peeta, her, everyone could raise their children without fear that they’re life’s might get taken way

overall this book was just filled with so much hope, and desires to be free. This series has become my new obsession >.<

And now to start reading Mockingjay

Summary:By winning the Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta have secured a life of safety and plenty for themselves and their families, but because they won by defying the rules, they unwittingly become the faces of an impending rebellion.

Favorite quote:The bird, the pin, the song, the berries, the watch, the cracker, the dress that burst into flames. I am the mockingjay. The one that survived despite the Capitol’s plans. The symbol of the rebellion
