30 Day Book Challenge:Day 11

A book you hated

I hated Wicked, it was so boring, the writing made my mind wonder off.(I rather watch the Broadway show than read this book.)

Read 30 pages, stopped, and just returned it back to the library.

35. Wicked: Legacy & Spellbound by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie

Summary: Holly Cathers is not the same person she was almost a year and a half ago. After discovering her connection to an ancient legacy of witches, Holly has accepted her destiny as a descendant of the House of Cahors. She is determined to end an intergenerational feud that has plagued her family for centuries.

Review: Legacy was a roller coaster, I hated it and I liked it. The pace was quick, yet also slow during the flashbacks Which was annoying. Holly(omg) I really did not enjoy her in this book, she was so arrogant, and annoying. Since the second book I think her character made the most drastic change after figuring out that she’s a witch, in a bad way.

Rating: 3.5/5

Well I can scratch this of my Summer reading list.

❝We dance beneath the sun-drenched sky
And worship the day as it passes by
The sun renews and gives us life
And guides us through our daily strifes❞
— Wicked: Legacy by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie

27. Wicked: Witch & Curse by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie

ReviewWicked great book, Comes with two in one. I read this last year with high expectations, which were met. The story was unique, I really enjoyed how it was kind of similar to Romeo and Juliet, and the whole wicca aspect to it. The only issue I had with this book was the flashbacks, I know that it is essential to the story but, I kind of did not find them interesting, only some parts.

Summary: Holly Cather is sent to live with her aunt and cousins in Seattle when her parents are killed, and there she enters into a world of witches, secrets, and alliances where ancient magics yield deadly results
